The development trend of LED


With the continuous development of the industry, breakthroughs in technology, the application of great efforts to promote, LED light efficiency is also rising, prices continue to decline. New combinations of tube cores also allow the power of a single LED tube to increase continuously. Through the continuous efforts of the industry, research and development, breakthroughs in new optical design, the development of new light species, the product of a single situation is also expected to be further reversed. The improvement of control software also makes LED lighting more convenient. These gradual changes reflect the bright future of LED led in lighting applications.

LED is called the fourth generation light source, energy saving, environmental protection, safety, long service life, low power consumption, low heat, high brightness, waterproof, shockproof, easy adjustment, micro light beam focused, simple maintenance, can be widely applied in various directions, display, decoration, backlight, general lighting and other fields.

LED has the advantages of high electro-optical conversion efficiency (close to 60%, green environmental protection, long life (100 thousand hours), low voltage (about 3V), repeated switch life, small volume, nondestructive low temperature, high brightness, durable, easy dimming, color variety, concentrated light beam stability, no delay start;

LED disadvantages: high starting cost, poor color rendering, low efficiency of high-power LED, constant current drive (special drive circuit). In contrast, a variety of traditional lighting there are some defects.

Incandescent lamp: low efficiency of electro optic conversion (10% or so), short life (about 1000 hours), high heating temperature, single color and low color temperature;

Fluorescent lamp: the electro-optical conversion efficiency is not high (about 30%) and environmental damage (including harmful elements such as mercury, only about 3.5-5mg/), adjustable brightness (low voltage to glow luminescence), ultraviolet radiation, flicker, slow start, the rising price of raw materials (rare earth fluorescent powder accounted for the proportion of the cost increased from 10% to 60~70%), repeatedly switch affect the life of large volume.

High pressure gas discharge lamp: large power consumption, unsafe use, short life, heat dissipation, and more used for outdoor lighting.
