LED flood light classification:
1. Rotational symmetry
The luminaire adopts a rotationally symmetric reflector, and the axis of symmetry of the light source with rotationally symmetric light distribution is installed along the axis of the reflector. The iso-intensity curves of such lamps are concentric circles. When this form of flood light is illuminated by a single lamp, an elliptical light spot is obtained on the illuminated surface, and the illumination is uneven; but when multi-light illumination is used, the light spots are superimposed on each other, which can produce a satisfactory lighting effect. For example, hundreds of rotationally symmetrical floodlights are commonly used in stadiums, which are installed on high towers around the stadium to obtain high illumination and high uniformity lighting effects.
2. Two symmetrical planes
The iso-intensity curve of this type of floodlight has two symmetry planes. Most of the lamps use symmetrical cylindrical reflectors, and the linear light sources are installed along the axis of the cylindrical surface.
3. A symmetrical plane
A luminaire's iso-intensity curve has only one plane of symmetry (Figure 2). The luminaire uses asymmetric cylindrical reflectors or symmetrical cylindrical reflectors plus grids that limit light. The most typical is the sharp cut-off block retraction light distribution. Such a light intensity distribution single lamp can obtain a relatively satisfactory illuminance distribution.
4. Asymmetrical shape
The iso-intensity curve of this type of luminaire has no plane of symmetry. It mainly uses mixed light lamps of different types of light sources with large differences in light intensity distribution and special lamps designed according to the specific lighting requirements of the place of use.
LED flood light features:
At present, the commonly used LED flood lights on the market are basically 1W high-power LEDs (each LED element will have a high-efficiency lens made of PMMA, and its main function is to redistribute the light emitted by the LED, that is, two Secondary optics), there are also a few companies that choose 3W or higher power LEDs because of good heat dissipation technology. It is suitable for large-scale occasion lighting, building and other lighting.
What else should be paid attention to in floodlights?
1. High-purity aluminum reflector, the most accurate beam, the best reflection effect.
2. Symmetrical narrow-angle, wide-angle and asymmetric light distribution systems.
3. The light bulb can be replaced by the back opening type, which is easy to maintain.
4. The lamps are equipped with scale plates for easy adjustment of the illumination angle.

In small engineering applications, it can be used without a controller, and can realize dynamic effects such as gradient, jump, color flashing, random flashing, and gradient alternation.
