The advantages and disadvantages of ordinary street lights and solar street lights

Update:10-06-2022

Ordinary street lights have complicated installation procedures, which require laying cables, excavating cable trenches, and burying pipes and lines. In some places, it is not easy to bury the pipeline, and the cost will be higher. And long-term installation and debugging, wasting a lot of human, financial and material resources.

In addition, the electricity cost of ordinary street lamps is also rising with the price of goods. The power station also claims that it is operating at a loss and needs to maintain the lines frequently. Embedding lines has potential safety hazards. If others work in the place where the lines are buried, it may damage the lines and pipelines, which may easily cause safety accidents.

The solar street light is easy to install, no need to lay complicated lines, just dig a small pit, a cement base, and fix it with stainless steel screws. Solar street lights rely on solar energy to convert into electricity, so there is almost zero investment after construction, only daily maintenance and aging repair of equipment are required. Purchasing costs are relatively high. But the cost will be recovered gradually in the later stage. The service life of solar street lamps is longer than that of city circuit lamps.

But solar street lights also have shortcomings. No one can guarantee the lighting problems in rainy days, battery life and other issues. But as technology advances, these issues will soon be resolved. It is believed that solar street lights will gradually replace the city circuit lights in the future.
